At Nestlé Research and Development in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland, we develop for Nestlé worldwide new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Dairy and Nutrition. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories.

As Corporate R&D Technical Advisor Vitamins and Micronutrients with expertise in the industrial use of vitamins and raw materials, you will guide global Nestlé suppliers and Nestlé factories to fulfill technical requirements to assure finished product compliance. You will assure leadership in the creation and maintenance of technical standards and raw material specifications. You will evaluate and approve new vitamin formulations for Nestlé. Providing technical assistance and training to Nestlé operating factories and R&D Centres worldwide will be a critical part of the day-to-day task of the job.

A day in the life of a Corporate R&D Technical Advisor Vitamins and Micronutrients

Lead the Nestlé team in the definition and implementation of technical requirements for vitamins & micronutrients at supplier level and in Nestlé factories
Guardian of Nestlé technical requirements for vitamin & micronutrient raw materials, definition and verification of appropriate specifications aligned with local regulatory requirement
Lead coordination and interaction with key suppliers and internal customers on identifying and developing the appropriate vitamin formulations for new products in close cooperation with corporate procurement
Lead and support technical evaluation of vitamin supplier manufacturing capability, their technical data and specifications, including commercial evaluations and strategic aspects
Manage & provide technical assistance support for factories and R&D
Develop and give product/technology specific training

What will make you successful

Master/PhD in Material Sciences, Analytical Science, Nutrition or related field
R&D/operational experience: leading fortification or other projects in nutrition (> 10 years)
Strong ability to deliver under tight pressure
Good experience and understanding in analytical methods, process capability and related challenges
Leadership position experience from a market or R&D with proven success of leading teams
Ability to communicate his/her passion for vitamins & micronutrients
Fluent in English, German and other languages an advantage
Track record publications, patents, product launches
