Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly competent Commodity Procurement Controller to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

 

Reporting to the Head of Direct Controlling, you will be responsible for supporting the Global Category Lead in the definition and implementation of the sourcing strategy, and providing end to end visibility on costs related to the concerned commodity through analysis and benchmarking

 

 

A day in the life of...
  • Proactively influence and facilitate strategy formulation and communication for the category under responsibility
  • Reviewing and validating proposed savings
  • Supporting the commodity team is establishing Total Cost of Ownership
  • Preparing /revising the category Budget
  • Active participation in the deployment of new tools
  • Assessing category risks and their impact on business performance
  • Collaborating with other internal finance teams to analyse and interpret data
  • Optimising the allocation of resources and simplifying business complexity
  • Helping to create visibility for the above market strategy and organization
  • Optimising all working capital related to the commodity
What will make you successful
  • Prior experience within an Accounting/Finance function – ideally within Controlling
  • Exposure to the FMCG industry, ideally the food industry
  • Experience in dealing with internal and external providers
  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to influence without authority
  • Fluency in the English language
  • An understanding of hedging activities would be an advantage
