Position Summary

 

We are currently looking for a highly competent Regional Procurement Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for managing the commercial and sourcing activity for Flexible Packaging used by Nestlé worldwide.  Reporting directly to the Category Manager, you will be responsible to define and implement the category strategy on a regional level (Zone AOA) utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A day in the life of a Regional Procurement Manager/Flexible Packaging

 

  • Contribute to the Sustainability Commitment of the Group.
  • Develop, validate, communicate and orchestrate in a fast and consistent way the specific Flexible Packaging related Projects.
  • Contribute to, and implement the sourcing strategies for the Category in scope whilst interacting with relevant Business Partners and Stakeholders.
  • Understand "Pain Points" and areas of improvement and translate those into Project Proposal.
  • Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.
  • Promote and ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, Policies and Standards.
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
  • Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
What will make you successful

 

  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain and/or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years in sourcing for different spend categories in packaging, ideally gained in the Flexibles category.
  • Proven track record in working in different teams in complex organizations and developing key talents and people.
  • Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management.
  • Good negotiation and convincing skills and expertise.
  • Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations.
  • Fluent in English, any other languages would be a plus.
