Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly competent Regional Procurement Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for managing the commercial and sourcing activity for Flexible Packaging used by Nestlé worldwide.  

Reporting directly to the Category Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a regional level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A day in the life of...

•    Define a regional strategy with your team in term of procurement for flexibles.
•    Source the best regional/global partners
•    Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities
•    Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy
•    Present the strategy in local market, get the buying of internal stakeholders, support them in implementing the strategy
•    Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning
•    Manage contracts & pricing in the Nestle system to ensure supply and manage risks
•    Provide periodic outlook on market trends and how it will impact contract pricing for aligned teams to make pricing decisions
•    In partnership with Supplier Relationship Management Experts, lead the planning and regular contract SLA reviews with suppliers and other functional partners
•    Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards

What will make you successful

•    University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain and/or Engineering
•    Minimum 5 years in sourcing for different spend categories in packaging, ideally gained in the Flexibles category
•    Proven track record in working in different teams in complex organizations and developing key talents and people
•    Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management
•    Good negotiation and convincing skills and expertise
•    Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations
•    Fluent in English, another language will be an asset
