Position: Senior Executive – Factory Procurement

Position Summary:

The candidate is responsible for the sourcing of imported MRP and Non‑MRP OPEX materials and Technical Services while ensuring compliance with Nestlé Procurement standards. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and overseas suppliers to secure timely material delivery, optimize freight solutions, meet import regulations, and continuously improve the end‑to‑end Source to Pay process.

A day in the life of the role:

• Ensure on‑time delivery of import materials according to business needs and service levels.
• Drive the end‑to‑end P2P (E2E) process for assigned categories and ensure SLAs are fully met.
• Select and recommend freight vendors, ensuring efficient shipment delivery to the factory gate.
• Coordinate with the Shipping Desk and relevant teams to ensure smooth customs clearance.
• Ensure timely payments to overseas vendors in line with national regulations.
• Identify and drive cost‑saving opportunities, constructively challenging the status quo.
• Reduce single‑vendor dependency and identify alternative suppliers to enhance competitiveness.
• Maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to support operational requirements.
• Support NCE, FI initiatives, CI projects, and contribute to sustainable operational excellence.
• Follow up and close out actions related to Procurement audit gaps.

What will make you successful?

• Education: A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or any related field
• Expected experience: minimum 2 years of experience in the areas of Procurement/ Supply Chain or in similar capacity.
• Language skills: Fluency in English and Sinhala
• Other skills: Strong service‑oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Be proactive and results‑driven with strong analytical and innovative thinking. Able to collaborate effectively across teams in a dynamic environment.
