Senior Executive – Factory Supply Chain

Position Snapshot:

• Area: Supply Chain - Coconut Milk Sourcing & Supplier Development 

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Factory Supply Chain, the role is responsible for ensuring the timely, quality, and cost-effective supply of coconut milk for production through effective supplier management, sourcing operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

A day in the life of the role:

• Ensure a reliable coconut milk supply to meet production requirements.
• Manage mill performance, compliance and supplier relationships.
• Drive quality, food safety, hygiene and safety standards across supplier operations.
• Coordinate supplier payments and financial compliance processes.
• Conduct supplier visits and lead mill performance improvement initiatives.
• Develop and onboard new mills and suppliers to support sourcing growth.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver sourcing and operational objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement and supplier development initiatives.

What will make you successful?

• Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemical and Process Engineering, Food/Microbiological Science/Manufacturing
• Expected experience:
  • 2 – 3 years relevant experience in Supply Chain/food manufacturing environment
  • Experience in supplier or production operations management
  • Exposure to Lean, ISO, or continuous improvement practices is an advantage
• Language skills: Fluency in English & Sinhala
• Other skills:
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective negotiation and relationship management capabilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage supply risks
  • Knowledge on food manufacturing, supplier development, quality, safety standards and continuous improvement tools
  • Self-driven, resilient and result oriented mindset
