Senior Executive – Factory Supply Chain

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Factory Supply Chain, the role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability and effective management of contract labour while maintaining compliance, cost efficiency, productivity and business continuity.

A day in the life of the role:

• Coordinate contract labour requirements with production planners and service providers.
• Forecast, allocate and monitor labour requirements to ensure workforce availability across shifts.
• Manage labour availability, shortages and turnover to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, working hours, safety and labour practices.
• Oversee PPE, uniforms and workforce readiness to maintain operational continuity.
• Validate supplier invoices, supporting documents and payments for financial compliance.
• Lead compliance reviews, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop skilled labour, business continuity plans and Supply Chain projects to enhance operational performance.

What will make you successful?

• Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management/Production/Management or a related field.
• Expected experience:
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/food manufacturing environment
  • Experience in production, planning or Supply Chain operations
  • Exposure to Lean practices and contract labour management is an advantage
• Language skills: Fluency in English & Sinhala
• Other skills:
  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication
  • Ability to manage compliance, labour operations and business continuity
  • Project management and continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaborative, proactive and results-driven approach
