About the role
Nestle Ukraine is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support industrialization projects, supervise industrial performance, and manage CAPEX for local industrialization initiatives.
In this role, you will work closely with HQ teams, manufacturers, developers, quality, compliance, procurement, supply chain, commercial teams, and external co-manufacturers. You will play a key role in assessing productive assets, validating manufacturing processes, leading industrialization activities, and supporting manufacturing excellence across projects with European geographical coverage.
A day in the life of a Manufacturing Engineer
- Support industrialization projects in close cooperation with HQ, manufacturers, developers, project managers, quality, and compliance teams.
- Assess and validate productive assets and manufacturing processes.
- Lead industrialization activities in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Supervise industrial performance and monitor key indicators such as conformity, reactivity, RTY, OBAI, asset intensity, capacity utilization, and CAPEX accuracy.
- Manage technical capacity and project CAPEX for local industrialization projects.
- Conduct focused process and product audits, including Gemba Walks.
- Support product and manufacturing issue management, including crisis situations when required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Contract Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial, and IBS teams, as well as external co-manufacturers, developers, and mould makers when needed.
What will make you successful
- Master’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, or Electronics background is preferred.
- Experience as an Industrial or Quality Engineer in consumer goods, ideally with food-contact products.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection and injection tooling.
- At least 5 years of successful experience in managing manufacturing and CAPEX projects.
- Experience in industrialization project management.
- Problem-solving expertise: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
- Experience in project and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven track record in leading or implementing cross-functional improvement projects.
- Experience working with co-manufacturers and suppliers.
- International exposure and ability to work effectively in different environments, such as businesses and factories.
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization, including business, management, and R&D stakeholders.
