Moreover, La Penilla Factory producing some of the Spain most popular brands, including Caja Roja, Nestle Estrafino, Nesquik, Obleas Buitoni, Sveltesse, Atelier, Infant Cereals as Nutriven, among others.
La Penilla de Cayón, nestled in the Cantabrian Cayón Valley, is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, close to the “Cabarceno Natural Park”, making it an ideal place for animal lovers. Furthermore, La Penilla is only 30 minutes by car from Santander and 20 minutes from Cantabria Airport.
Manufacturing at Nestlé focuses on delivering perfect quality products to consumers at the right time and place while minimizing losses to maximize efficiency and productivity. You could play a key role in this exciting transform
The main purpose of the SHE Manager in the provision of specialist advice to line managers regarding the management of Safety in the Factory.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Create a compelling understanding of the Nestlé SHE values and inspire stakeholders to excel in compliance & continuously improve
- Identify SHE priorities, current & future challenges, and opportunities for change at site level
- Guide implementation of the NMS Management System and other Market S&H Standards
- Develop and continuously improve site SHE programmes to deliver compliance and performance improvement
- Ensure the local Safety and Health management system maintains certification to ISO 45001. Provide training and coaching to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, lead and manage S&H within their area of responsibility. Provide personal coaching and support to site Management Team
- Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement
- Engage with external stakeholders (trades unions, local regulators, local communities, and local NGOs) on S&H topics to build long term, positive relationships
- Security Champion working closely with the Market Security Manager focusing on our Third Party Security Activities and ensuring Compliance
What will make you successful
To considered for this brilliant opportunity, the following criteria will be desirable unless otherwise stated:
- Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a technical subject area – Preferred University Degree in Engineering.
- Previous Safety & Health experience within FMCG/ Food Manufacturing - Preferred
- Higher Technician in Occupational Risks in the three specialties: safety, hygiene and ergonomics and applied psycho-sociology.
- Level of English C1
- Previous experience as a risk prevention manager in a smaller factory or health and safety specialist.
- Experience in team management
