As a Customizing Packaging Specialist, you will lead packaging development and customization projects that bring our brands to life across the Swiss market. From promotional displays and customized packaging solutions to sustainability initiatives, you will play a key role in transforming ideas into impactful packaging experiences for consumers.

You will collaborate with suppliers, co-packers and cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality to deliver innovative, compliant and cost-effective packaging solutions. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, project leadership and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the success of iconic Nestlé brands across multiple categories.

How you’ll make an impact as a Customizing Packaging Specialist

  • Lead packaging development and renovation projects for customized products, including displays and promotional packaging produced by third-party co-packers
  • Develop and evaluate packaging concepts with suppliers, ensuring solutions are reliable, practical and suitable for production, transportation, palletization and in-store use
  • Plan, coordinate and document packaging trials with co-packers, including performance assessments and transport tests for new packaging and specification changes
  • Manage packaging-related master data and contribute to the accurate creation and maintenance of information in SAP
  • Identify and implement technical improvements, cost optimization opportunities and solutions that increase efficiency while reducing material usage, waste and losses
  • Ensure packaging developments comply with quality, safety, regulatory and sustainability requirements, while sharing expertise and best practices within the packaging community

What will make you successful

  • A technical background in packaging, materials science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, physics or a related field
  • Project management, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate suppliers and cross-functional partners and turn ideas into practical solutions
  • A proactive and autonomous mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively, make recommendations, take initiative and influence stakeholders without formal authority
  • Familiarity with packaging, production, SAP or palletization tools such as CAPE PACK would be beneficial.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of French and/or German is an advantage
  • Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning, while translating ideas into measurable impact and creating shared value.
