As an Environmental Sustainability Manager, your main mission will be to define, implement and deploy Nespresso's sustainability policy and roadmap in Switzerland, in alignment with the overall Nespresso strategy. You will be the Ambassador of Nespresso’s sustainable development approach both internally and externally to opinion leaders and influential networks, organizations & associations. As such, you will manage cross-cutting projects related to recycling and sustainability in the marketplace. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to have an impact.
A Day in the Life of an Environmental Sustainability Manager
- Ensure End-to-End management of key projects in close collaboration with the Marketing department, including strategy definition, analysis of impact & opportunities, stakeholder management, deliverables, budget, and post-deployment analysis.
- Ensure strategic and operational management of the collection and recycling system for used capsules in Switzerland, establishing a comprehensive and sustainable solution with our external service provider.
- Continuously challenge & improve the recycling processes and channels for B2C & B2B capsules (recovery, treatment, and valorization).
- Contribute to projects aiming at environmental efficiency and reduction of collection costs.
- Serve as the point of contact for sustainability functions at HQ and internal teams at Nespresso Switzerland to support on sustainable development issues.
- Coordinate and act as the contact person for internal and external partners.
What will make you successful
- Engineering degree or equivalent (Bachelor/Master’s degree in EPF/ETH, or HES in environmental engineering, natural sciences, ESG …).
- Project management qualification.
- Knowledge of integrated management system (ISO 14’001) an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Very good communication skills with strong ability to influence others.
- Autonomous with ability to work in teams and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in French and English, German as a strong asset.
