The position is within Corporate Communications for Nestlé's Swiss market division. The team consists of Media Relations, Public Affairs, Sustainability, Internal Communications, Corporate Social Media and our website www.nestle.ch. Our role is to protect and strengthen Nestlé's reputation as a “Force For Good”. Our team works to build trust internally and externally through effective communication and engagement.

 

As an Internal & External Communication Manager, you will contribute to our local corporate communication plan. In this role, you will be responsible for copywriting, managing, and implementing communication campaigns for both internal and external audiences. You will also act as one of the primary contact for Swiss media, responding to enquiries and maintaining trustful relationships with them.

 

A Day in the Life of an Internal & External Communication Manager

 

  • Bringing in the outside view: monitoring local media to anticipate trending themes and issues and share them within the organization. 
  • Connect & Protect: acting as a company spokesperson and handling frequent media requests. Representing the company’s position in a clear and engaging way to foster trustful dialogue. 
  • Engage: proactively developing and rolling-out impactful communication activities for internal and external audiences. Preparing communication assets including news releases, social posts, internal news, interviews, briefings, and more. 
  • Guide: providing expertise and support to internal stakeholders (functions, business, factories, brands) to support them in their communication endeavors.
  • Organize: coordination of internal and external events, e.g. townhall meetings, factory visits or media events.  
  • Align: close collaboration with other corporate functions, regional and global teams. 

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Proven experience in Corporate Communications, Public/Media Relations, Internal Communications, or Journalism.
  • Proven ability to handle complex communication projects independently and in line with company strategies.
  • Strong copywriting skills and experience in tailoring content to various channels and audiences.
  • Good knowledge of the Swiss media landscape and stakeholder environment.
  • You are fluent in (Swiss-)German and proficient in French and/or English.
  • Knowledge of Social & Digital tools, visual storytelling or graphic skills is a plus.
  • You thrive in the corporate environment of a matrix organization and align projects with regional and global teams.
