Position Summary
We are looking for a Junior Category Commercial Development Manager Confectionery, to drive the development of omni-channel category strategies that deliver customer growth by being expert of the category for all commercial levers.
A Day in the Life of a Junior Category Commercial Development Manager Confectionery
- Support the ICP process by driving customer planning, optimize shopper activation, evaluate promotions, and support fact-based selling with the CDT Manager.
- Leverage channel intelligence and shopper insights to analyze in‑store buying behavior, inform key commercial decisions, and embed shopper-centric thinking across Marketing & Sales.
- Develop, support, and continuously improve promotion strategy and PPA by analyzing performance, optimizing ROI per channel, and ensuring strong execution within Sales/KAM.
- Define and implement a clear promo Picture of Success by channel/customer, and provide feedback to CDM to build a holistic 360° vision.
- Track monthly category performance across all channels to deliver actionable insights for customer selling stories, manage data agencies for analyses.
What will make you successful
- University degree in marketing, management, public administration or equivalent.
- First experience in category management, trade marketing, or sales.
- Interest in category expertise, preferably in retail is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Collaborative personality with executional drive
- Proficiency in both German and English; French is a plus
