What is a Nesternship?

 

A semi-virtual internship which will allow you to boost your digital skills, entrepreneurial spirit, as well as your agility to deal with different situations. In addition to that, you will be working on real life projects where you can have a hand in making an impact in the world’s largest food and beverage company.

Position Summary

 

To reinforce our Corporate Affairs Department, we are looking forward to having a Public Affairs Intern joining our Corporate Communication and Corporate Affairs team to help us shape frame conditions in Switzerland to the benefit of Nestlé Switzerland, relating to business, markets access and manufacturing as well as to the business location Switzerland in general.

A day in the life of a Public Affairs Intern

 

  • Monitor cantonal and national political matters and support Corporate Affairs Team in assessing potential relevance for NCH
  • Provide regular updates on selected political subjects and trends in Switzerland to Head Corporate Affairs, Corporate Affairs Team and affected internal departments
  • Contribute to working basis of Corporate Affairs Dept, e.g. stakeholder mapping, analyze voting results, update positions and corporate presentations
  • Represent Nestlé in selected trade associations at working group level or as required
  • Interact with different internal and external stakeholders in Switzerland
  • Support organization of stakeholder events
  • Assist preparation of Swiss Public Policy Board
  • Support Communication in NiCH communication strategy

What will make you successful

 

  • Perfect fluency in written and spoken English and (Swiss)German, French is a plus
  • University graduated in International Affairs, Economics or related field 
  • Strong interest in Swiss political system and Swiss public affairs
  • Previous PA experiences in an NGO, administration, association or corporate is a plus
  • Proactive, autonomous, and open personality with an entrepreneurial spirit
