Position Summary
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal guidance and support to the business within a Swiss legal context. Acting as a trusted Legal & Compliance business partner, you will proactively protect and enable the organization while being accountable for all matters within your scope. You will draft and negotiate commercial contracts, advise on Swiss labor law, and manage a broad range of legal topics to help safeguard Nestlé’s values, brands, and reputation.
A Day in the Life of a Senior Legal Counsel
- Act as a Legal Business Partner for Nestlé Switzerland Market and General Counsel's primary backup, managing and advising on all Legal & Compliance matters impacting the organization.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, and resolve legal and related commercial issues
- Develop and deploy legal knowhow through trainings, templates and business-oriented guidance
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders at all levels to provide expert counsel across a broad scope of issues.
- Leverage synergies and global expertise for local business benefits, including L&C technology implementation.
- Network with external stakeholders to advocate for Nestlé and create shared value.
- Identify and exploit cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and standardization of L&C solutions.
What will make you successful
- Certified Lawyer in Switzerland (Bar Exam or equivalent professional qualification).
- Significant years of experience in Swiss legal practice, including strong exposure to Swiss labor law with ideally a combination of corporate in‑house and law firm experience.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiation contracts.
- Prior experience in an FMCG environment is an asset.
- Strong business and solution‑oriented mindset, curiosity, excellent attention to detail, and a pragmatic, collaborative approach.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and influence effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Full professional proficiency in German, French, and English is required; Swiss German is an asset.
