Position Summary

 

In the role of Packaging Safety & Compliance Specialist, you will support & ensure food safety and compliance of:

  • The packaging materials and promotional items on the market in Switzerland 
  • Nutrition category packaging projects at ZEMENA level
  • Specific designated strategic packaging supplier at ZEMENA level through surveillance plan

A day in the life of a Packaging Safety & Compliance Specialist

 

  • Manage quality related to safety & compliance of packaging materials and promotional items: 
    • Validate compliance declarations with regards to food contact materials;
    • Assist in interpretation of analyzed results; supporting the development of HACCP studies, surveillance plans and monitoring plans;  
    • Assist in case of issues of consistency & complaints.
  • Apply Nestlé Strategy (Packaging safety and compliance initiative) in the market implementing Nestlé Standards and be aligned with ZEMENA structure.
  • Participate in local supplier audits and approval of suppliers while giving support to QA regarding the safety and compliance part of the audits.
  • Support Nutrition Central Development team (CTAG) for Packaging Safety& Compliance related process
  • Build, implement and follow cross-category & cross-market packaging safety & compliance monitoring plan for designated strategic supplier

What will make you successful

 

  • Completed scientific degree (e.g. food chemistry, food technology, …) or a similar scientific education
  • Proven 3 - 5 years of experience in Food Contact Material food safety and compliance
  • Knowledge on FCM regulatory compliance & testing requirements for Swiss & EU legislation
  • Experience in FCM/Nestlé standard on compliance documentation assessment (Declaration of Compliance, List of Components) & process (Audit, Surveillance plan)
  • Good interpersonal/teamwork skills paired with a good sense of business/technical interrelationships 
  • Ability to communicate your passion for packaging and to transform business needs into packaging functions
  • Solutions and results oriented 
  • Fluent in English, French or German
