Management of research programs in a field relevant to food safety

PhD, substantial Post Doc Research experience in key fields related to food safety research (Microbiology / Chemical)

Position Summary

 

As a Department Manager of Food Safety Research you will secure the availability of competence and capacity in microbiological and chemical safety assessment for Nestlé worldwide. You will stimulate the identification, assessment and implementation of novel and alternative solutions in food safety risk assessment to accelerate product innovation and support food safety incident management. You will ensure the department to be recognized globally as the Center of Excellence in food safety evaluation expertise and research.

A day in the life of a Department Manager of Food Safety Research

 

  • Secure availability of  state of the art expertise in food safety research
  • Ensure the provision of support and expertise in food safety to PTCs, AGs, SBUs and GMBs
  • Communicate on complex food safety issues
  • Contribute to key projects of Nestlé Research, helping accelerate new product development
  • Ensure the generation high quality data to support food safety dossiers
  • Provide appropriate expertise in risk assessment to support early warning issue evaluations and food safety incident/crisis management
  • Manage the Department project portfolio in line with overall NR / Institute research strategy
  • Manage the department according to agreed resource plan and budget
  • Attract and recruit talents, lead and develop staff to ensure availability and capacity in chemical and microbiological food safety research
