Position Summary
We are looking for an Animal Nutrition Specialist to initiate, manage, and support collaborative research projects aimed at improving the milk carbon footprint. This role focuses on optimizing cow nutrition and enhancing animal performance in the dairy sector. The Animal Nutrition Specialist will develop a new nutritional tool using a modeling approach and support its transfer to effective deployment.
A Day in the Life of an Animal Nutrition Specialist
- Embrace innovation as a catalyst for change: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge research projects in ruminant nutrition, establishing strategic relationships to enhance collaboration and drive innovation in livestock science
- Make a meaningful impact on our world: Develop and validate a diet optimization tool through in-depth modeling knowledge, designing and conducting scientific studies to test it in both in vitro and in vivo settings
- Foster a culture of creativity and growth: Engage with diverse experts and thought leaders to inspire fresh thinking and drive entrepreneurial initiatives. Generate and interpret data on dairy livestock production systems, translating scientific findings into technological innovations while providing timely support to R&D teams
- Stay at the forefront of science by monitoring relevant external technologies in both academia and industry
What Will Make You Successful
- Hold a Ph.D. in ruminant sciences or related fields, with substantial post-doctoral experience in ruminant research, particularly in dairy cow nutrition, animal performance, and environmental outcomes
- Experience in modelling or diet formulation and solid knowledge of relevant in-vitro and in-vivo models
- Advanced communication skills with proved ability in translating science into business
- People at Core: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, fostering an environment that encourages fresh thinking and values contributions. Display openness, flexibility, and creativity in problem-solving while cultivating strong networking and teamwork abilities
