As a Bioprocess Engineer - Pilot Plant (Fermentation & DSP) at Nestlé Research, your mission is to lead bioprocessing activities that bridge lab-scale discovery and industrial manufacturing through robust fermentation and downstream processing solutions. How you’ll make an impact as a Bioprocess Engineer - Pilot Plant (DSP)

  • Leading pilot-scale bioprocess trials that help transform promising research into scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Driving fermentation process development by optimizing media, feeding strategies and key operating parameters for reliable performance.
  • Developing downstream processing approaches that improve yield, recovery and product quality.
  • Building process understanding through data analysis, automation insights and digital tools that support optimization and reproducibility.
  • Contributing to safe, compliant and high-quality pilot plant operations through risk assessment, documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Shaping the development of new biotech pilot plant capabilities by translating process needs into practical equipment and facility solutions.

  • Applying scale-up, technology transfer and industrialization knowledge to make processes robust and ready for implementation.
