Position Summary
Nestlé Research is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 1000 people and is comprised of four Nestlé Institutes: Material Sciences; Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences and Packaging Sciences. As a Clinical Research Nurse you will execute nursing aspects of the clinical trials and other research projects undergoing at the Clinical Innovation Lab; in additions, provide medical expertise from start to finish of a clinical trial i.e. contribution to protocol development and other trial-related documentation according to Good Clinical Practice.
A Day in the Life of a Clinical Research Nurse
- Attend protocol development meetings and provide inputs with clinical expertise
- Initiate recruitment and perform screening of study participants by interviewing and documenting medical history as well as perform informed consent to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements
- Ensure compliance according to study protocol by providing thorough review and documentation at each subject’s study visit
- Perform medical procedures e.g. biological samples collection such as blood, urine etc, breath tests
- Administer investigational products and continual subjects' assessments during study visits according to protocol requirements and medical safety
- Provide adequate information to study participants to ensure clear understanding of study requirements
- Clear documentation in subjects’ master trial files to capture protocol requirements
What will make you successful
- Diploma in nursing and authorization to nursing practice in Switzerland
- min. 2 years of clinical experience
- Experience in Clinical Research as a bonus
- Ability to work independently but also enjoy teamwork environment
- Collaborative mindset and team spirit within a multidisciplinary team for the success of the project
- Agile, energetic and willing to take on a challenge despite the unprecedented times of COVID-19 pandemic
- Fluency in English mandatory (written and spoken)
