As a Global  Lead  Non Clinical Cardio-Metabolism, you will be NHSc Science Lead in Cardio-Metabolism research and early development with strong KOL network. You have a deep understanding  of the field of metabolic disease, obesity and co-morbidities and mastership of relevant experimental models, tools and relevant biomarkers. 

You have a strong expertise in translation into clinical meaningful proof of concept studies working closely with clinical development and are on top of existing and emerging science, technology platforms, biomedicine and biotechnology to build a competitive research strategy and pipeline

 

Identify internal or external research with high translatability for NHSc, generate early science-based, patient-relevant concepts and support their translation into differentiated and proprietary business solutions.

A day in the life of a Global Lead Non Clinical Cardio Metabolism:

 

  • Develops research strategy and project pipeline in close cooperation with Head of Translational Research and other SMO and business functions
  • Defines the key competences and manages cross-functional team members to establish project portfolio and pipeline (Nx, Rx)
  • Manage partnerships, guide research programs and pilot internal and external research and early development projects
  • Responsible to mount high value research projects to foster NHSc mid-to long term pipelines aligned with business/category strategy
  • Engage and coordinate work between different Nestlé innovation engines and external partners
  • Bring scientific knowledge and expertise to build credible partnership with internal and external stakeholders, in particular academia
  • Identify and manage new biomedical technological platforms to drive future NHSc growth areas
  • Assess the science behind external opportunities coming from Business Development and integrate these in the pipeline when adequate
  • Secures the expert contact and expertise with internal or external partners for Due Diligences and other NHSc needs (e.g. scientific expert panels, Advisory Boards)
  • Set and lead cross functional teams, including external partners to drive research projects

What will make you successful

 

  • PhD or PhD/MD. Scientific mastership in cardio-metabolic research; internationally recognized expert, track record in publications/patents in this field and international KOL network.
  • Direct working experience in global industry/ R&D with excellent knowledge of translating science / technology into development opportunities
  • Experience in Rx development is required
  • Track record of project management, research and insights in clinical development
  • Entrepreneurship: ability to 'connect the dots' and develop creative solutions
  • Experience in managing cross-functional and remote teams
  • Experience with innovative solutions (incl. nutrition) for disease management or preventive strategies
