Position summary
The NHSc Global Senior Data Scientist will design, develop, and deploy statistical and algorithmic solutions to address complex business challenges. You will analyze large, diverse data sets, formulate testing strategies, and validate hypotheses to deliver actionable insights. Collaborating with Data Engineers, you will industrialize scalable solutions and demonstrate expertise in data preparation, statistical modeling, report writing, and insight generation.
A day in the life of a NHSc Global Senior Data Scientist
- Develop and execute product/project roadmap.
- Determine data requirements for training and developing models.
- Prepare data, variables, models, tests, and validate hypotheses to answer business questions.
- Prove or invalidate hypotheses to address business questions.
- Coach and mentor junior data scientists or analysts (internal or external).
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize investments and deployments in data across markets.
- Coordinate projects and present initiatives to all stakeholders, recommending best practices.
What will make you successful
- Master's Degree or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning).
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science within applied analytics.
- Proficiency in advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
- Proven track record of solving complex business problems using statistics and machine learning.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a product-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various teams and organizational levels.
- Deep understanding of E-commerce domains, with sales expertise being a plus.
- Industry expertise in FMCG is needed, experience in consumer health/pharma is a plus.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior data scientists and analysts.
