As a Mechanical Technical Specialist, ‎you will be responsible to provide professional and technical support on Mechanical engineering during the development and manufacturing of prototypes and to deliver state of the art prototypes to fulfil the various requests from the scientists and technologists using CNC and conventional machines.

A day in the life of a Mechanical Technical Specialist ‎

 

  • Participate to user requirement specifications with pilot plant, scientist and other clients
  • Perform end-to-end manufacturing process (milling, turning, assembly, fine-tuning, sub-contracting, etc...)
  • Develop and design prototyping solutions, issue technical drawings, according to technical norms and standards
  • Elaborate time base maintenance plan for new equipment and perform maintenance activities on food processing and packaging equipment 
  • Lead and manage knowledge building and business-related project activities with a proactive participation. Present results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties or visitors.                
  • Contribute to the mechanical engineering core competencies, including networking, and ensure Nestlé Principles are integrated into daily activities
  • Contribute to evaluate the need of mechanical external resources to support the internal workshop function, and collaborate with a network of experts
  • Certified trainer for apprentice                            
     

What will make you successful

 

  • CFC polymecanicien or Mechanical technician degree
  • 5 years' experience as a mechanical technician with CAD design experience (preferably with Inventor), 
  • 5 years' experience in R&D environment is an advantage
  • Working experience with packaging equipment in a factory or in a machine builder is an strong advantage  
  • Up to date knowledge in mechanical manufacturing processes (3-5 axis milling, turning, preferably with alphacam and Gibbscam expertise, etc ...) 
  • Participation in the Start-Up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s) 
  • Exposure to preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution desired required
  • Fluent in English
