Position Summary

Nestlé Research is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 800 people and is comprised of four Nestlé Institutes: Material Sciences; Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences and Packaging Sciences. Our Project Management Office in Nestlé Research aims at driving Research and Innovation projects for all Nestlé businesses, categories and zones, bringing exposure, diversity and growth opportunities to our people. In order to complete our Project Management Office, we are looking for a Project Manager & Team Lead dedicated to Packaging Research & Innovation

A day in the life of Project Manager & Team Lead for our packaging research institute

 

• Lead complex large-scale Innovation projects with an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for Innovation and the courage to engage with stakeholders, clients and decision makers: you will plan and lead projects and synchronize cross-functional & multidisciplinary teams embracing details and ambiguity while keeping a helicopter view to simplify complexity and to strive for quick management decisions
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: you will ensure that all relevant stakeholders are continuously apprised of project status, risks, issues and action plans
• Create alternative scenarii and adapt project plan to continuously strive for project performance in terms of speed, impact and budget
• As line manager you will lead by example: mentor, coach and grow a team of project managers and make sure that company resources are allocated to deliver the highest value
• You will report directly to the Nestlé Research PMO Head
 

What will make you successful

 

• 10 years’ experience project management, including management of large-scale projects across functional & multidisciplinary teams with high business impact
• PhD., M.Sc. in Packaging material sciences
• 5 years in a management/leadership role
• Integrate Consumer, Customer and Business Opportunity thinking into the project
• Work experience in several Innovation related functions/domains
• Experience in the FMCG industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess courage, demonstrated resilience, agility and ability to solve problems
• Experience in advocacy and successful management of external collaborations & partnerships
• Excellent level of English
• PMP, ITIL, COBIT certifications
