Position Summary

 

As a Scientific Engagement Lead, you will shape and execute our Scientific Stakeholder Engagement plans, focusing on strategic topics in the area of nutrition and health. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate closely with R&D leadership, scientific experts as well as Corporate Affairs to identify key engagement opportunities and organize impactful scientific stakeholder events. You will report to the Head of R&D Strategy and Chief of Staff for R&D.

 

A Day in the Life of a Scientific Engagement Lead

 

  • Oversee the annual planning of strategic scientific engagement opportunities (conferences, symposia, workshops, meetings etc.) in the area of nutrition and health
  • Create presentations, write speeches, position papers etc. on strategic topics
  • Develop content and organize events such as scientific symposia, including the Nestlé International Nutrition Symposium
  • Represent Nestlé as speaker or participant at external international events, both locally and abroad

 

What Will Make You Successful

 

  • PhD degree with a scientific background
  • Good understanding of scientific trends and key opinion leaders
  • Passionate about science and technology beyond own area of expertise
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Strong networking and presentation skills
  • Proven prioritization, organization and project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Dynamic and detail-oriented, with a hands-on, can-do attitude
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in English (verbal & written); any additional language is a plus
