As an R&D Intern – Polysaccharide Structure and Functionality at Nestlé Research, your mission is to explore how selective enzymatic treatments influence polysaccharide structure and functionality in model food systems. You will make a difference by collaborating closely with scientists and experts across the Nestlé Institute of Food Sciences and wider Nestlé Research community. How you’ll make an impact as an R&D Intern – Polysaccharide Structure and Functionality
- Investigating how selective enzymatic treatments shape polysaccharide structure and functionality in model food systems.
- Designing and carrying out laboratory experiments to identify optimal reaction conditions and prototype approaches.
- Characterizing polysaccharides using techniques such as size exclusion chromatography, monosaccharide composition analysis, rheology, dynamic light scattering and microscopy.
- Consolidating and interpreting experimental results to build meaningful insights for food science innovation.
- Presenting your findings clearly to the project team and contributing to collaborative scientific discussions.

- Current student or fresh graduate in physico-chemistry, food science or related scientific fields
- Having a first exposure to laboratory environment, planning experiments and documenting results with care.
- Having a proactive, result-oriented mindset while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
