As a R&D Specialist, and with your expertise in material science and food powder physics, you will propose and drive research projects that enable development of healthier and consumer-centric products. You will also contribute to establishment of the team's Science & Technology strategy and competences development to foster future innovation opportunities.

A day in the life of a R&D Food Powder Physics Specialist

 

  • Propose and manage research projects enabling innovation and business-relevant product developments
  • Consolidate and leverage knowledge from projects, external collaborations and your internal and external Science & Technology networks
  • Build and document knowledge about state-of-the-art Science & Technology, trends and innovations in food powders and material science
  • Consolidate and present project results in written and oral forms to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to expert networks to promote cross-fertilization between Nestlé R&D sites
     

What will make you successful

 

  • PhD in Food Science & Technology or in Materials Science
  • Strong theoretical knowledge in Material Science, including (bio-)polymers physics and chemistry, state diagrams, molecular diffusivity 
  • Good knowledge on powder physics and performance, including stability, reconstitution, controlled delivery of active ingredients. Knowledge on powder processes would be an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years R&D experience after the PhD, ideally in Food industry
  • Ability to work in teams with good project and stakeholders’ management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is mandatory, French would be an asset
