We are looking for a R&D Technician, to plan and execute scientific technical work in the field of Applied Microbiology.

A Day in the Life of a R&D Technician in the Applied Microbiology group

 

  • Together with R&D scientists, plan and execute wet lab experiments for probiotic development or food fermentation projects
  • Participate to the maintenance, characterization and exploitation of the Nestle Culture Collection, our beneficial microbes repository
  • Participate in the maintenance of a state-of-the-art microbiology lab and related equipments
  • Coaching and training of students
  • Work in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

 

What will make you successful

 

  • CFC of Laboratory technician in biology (or equivalent) 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of microbiology
  • Experience in the field of lactic acid bacteria is a plus
  • Experience in the development and use of molecular biology methods is a plus
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary environment. 
  • Pro-active, open-minded team player with good communication skills 
  • Fluent in French (oral & written), English is a plus
