Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Allergy responsible for strengthening and managing the allergy research strategy and translating scientific findings into business applications. This role will drive innovation and renovation in the product pipeline, contribute to the institute’s research strategy, and increase scientific leadership in the field of allergy prevention and management.

 

Nestlé Research is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 1000 people and is comprised of five Institutes: Food Sciences, Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences, Packaging Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences. A Day in the Life of a Senior Specialist Allergy

 

  • Manage allergy projects within our early life-, adult- and PetCare portfolio 
  • Define project scope and deliverables aligned with business needs
  • Build innovative concepts around nutritional modulators for prevention of allergic sensitization and inflammation 
  • Contribute to allergy management strategies.
  • Participate in internal and external expert networks to foster scientific excellence and cross-fertilization.
  • Translate scientific findings into applications, product development, and communication.
  • Ensure intellectual property protection for scientific findings.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • PhD with recognized scientific expertise in allergy
  • Solid R&D experience, industry experience is considered a plus
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams including, but not limited, to legal, regulatory and commercial
  • Strong interest and motivation do perform consumer centric research and have impact through nutrition
  • Experience in designing and conducting preclinical and clinical studies
  • Expertise in clinical biomarker identification for prediction and prevention of allergies
  • Project and stakeholder management experience
  • Inspiring and motivating team player with creativity and agility
  • Experience in advocacy and successful management of external scientific collaborations & partnerships
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills in English
