Position Summary

 

Nestlé Research is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 800 people and is comprised of four Nestlé Institutes: Material Sciences, Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences and Packaging Sciences. Your main mission will be to deliver paper packaging solutions that can be machined without loss of properties, on our existing assets within minimum capex changes.

 

A day in the life of a Specialist food paper packaging machinability

 

• Scout for new machines, equipment, materials and establish collaborations with key supplier and academia in the field of machinability
• Define and provide input to technology roadmap and in the 5G I&R pipelines
• Develop external collaborations, build and maintain relationships with key partners and suppliers 
• Lead the technology platform or project stream for the area of expertise
• Proactively deploy expert knowledge in R&D projects
• Provide effective and sustainable packaging solutions using Best-In-Class standards and specifications
 

What will make you successful

 

• Graduate in Packaging Technology/Science/Engineering or related subject
• 5 years Industry experience within flexible packaging
• High knowledge in the area of responsibility: machinability of paper packaging and/or aseptic carton
• Recognized expertise across and outside the company
• Capable and willing to teach and train
• High motivation and leadership skills
• Fluent in written and oral English
