As a Senior Specialist Data Technology in the Nestlé Research Data Office you will lead development of a Nestlé open source data processing platform for distributed execution of automated data workflows.

A day in the life of...
• Build a team dedicated to data automation delivery (analysis pipelines) in partnership with IT
• Innovate existing solution or transition to new framework
• Take ownership of solution lifecycle (release-planning, migration, etc.)
• Contribute to architecture strategy (cloud vs. on premise, build vs. buy, …)
• Define roadmap to execute on data strategy
• Valorize solutions/architectures (open source / transfer / publication)
• Build relationship with stakeholders (Nestlé IT, Scientists)
What will make you successful
• Master or PhD degree in Computer science or data related field
• Experience Scientific data processing
• Software development skills
• Ability to integrate software solutions
• Knowledge in data technology landscaping
• Technical competencies in:
• Python, javascript (node-js), front-end (single page app MVC, e.g. mithril-js)
• Generalist able to pick up new languages as needed (R, java, ...)
• Bioinformatics
• High performance computing
• Cloud computing
• ETL
• linux
• Curious, innovative and collaborative mindset
• Good in written and oral communication in English
