Position Summary

As a Global R&D Project Leader you will be responsible to provide project-management oversight of multi-disciplinary R&D work streams for internal innovative drug developments.

A day in the life of a Global R&D Drug Project Leader

 

•    Develop early drug development project plan (incl. budget) in close cooperation with responsible Scientific Medical Organization (SMO) Leader and Head of Project Management Office
•    Communicate and present project status, issues, and risks to senior management and Joint Steering Committee            
•    Lead planning, prioritization and tactical steps in daily operations required to accomplish project goals
•    Identify and communicate resource and capability needs (internal and external) to ascertain project goals                
•    Ascertain executional excellence of the project complying with internal and external quality standards (GMP, GLP, and GCP; state-of-the-art data management)            
•    Implement and lead most effective project management practices across project teams 
•    Use state-of-the art project management and documentation tools                
•    Leverage external opportunities in terms of outsourcing R&D work and cooperations     
•    Assume the role of Alliance Manager with external partners on behalf of NHSc
 

What will make you successful

 

•    At minimum 8-10 years drug development experience, from research to early development (PhI) with strong pre-clinical background. 
•    Previous experience with small molecules/small peptides/New Chemical Entities (NCEs) will be considered a plus
•    Knowledgeable on FDA, EU, and international drug development regulations
•    Strong project plan management skills including Project team organization, solid stage-gate project management and E2E experience                                                                 
•    Ability to identify project opportunities, risks, and issues and escalate as needed
•    Strong leadership skills with experience working with biotech assignment and track record in product registrations  
•    Experience as team leader working with cross-functional and multi-national teams as well as external experts
•    Experience working in an international and multi-cultural environment
•    Understanding of and work experience in contributing to global strategy of an international organization
•    Fluent in English
