Position Summary:
As a Senior Territory Manager your key responsibilities will include promoting Purina’s full therapeutic portfolio, improving the visibility of our products, and educating customers about the nutritional and healing benefits of our formulas. You will conduct business reviews, devise business plans, and work closely with clinics to grow Purina’s business. In addition, you will mentor team members in the field and support the onboarding and development of new territory managers.
A day in the life of a Senior Territory Manager:
•    Accountable for Sales associated within the territory.
•    Conducts business reviews for the clinics.
•    Develops business plans with the clinics based on the information and direction provided by the regional manager.
•    Conducts a quality assurance review for the clinic in terms of product, pricing, and distribution.
•    Promotes Purina to veterinarians as a veterinary diet company and influences them to recommend Purina products.
•    Develops and conducts veterinary educational seminars on pet nutrition and Purina products for veterinary clinics.
•    Ensures high levels of nutritional knowledge are maintained to influence the sales environment.
•    Aids the Regional Manager in mentoring TMs in the field on travel days to veterinary clinics.
•    Responsible for the training of New Territory Managers and contributes to the development and training of existing Territory Managers.
Guide management in important sales decisions
•    Report analysed data including relevant conclusions, ideas, and general recommendations.
•    Prepare in-depth proposals for changes in plans and corresponding forecasts that meet required needs and ambitions.
•    Find opportunities, risks, and conflicts in different plans to continuously improve and optimise business performance.
Develop methodologies and Processes
•    Review with the Sales Planning team all the processes and methodologies.
•    Develop and track Key Performance Indicators.
•    Ensure appropriate data and software are used to provide decisions that support the business.
Role Requirements
•    Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market 
•    4+ years as a sales leader with a proven track record of delivering business results within the CPG industry or healthcare industry
•    Valid full driver’s license and safe driving record is required. Open to frequent travel within the assigned territory.
•    Strong self-motivation and proactive mindset, with the capacity to think strategically to secure incremental business opportunities. 
•    Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•    Post-Secondary Education in related field with relevant work experience
•    Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of delivering 
effective presentations to audiences of all sizes
•    Candidate must reside within the territory and able to travel as required based on territory needs.
•    Excellent leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
