Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.

 

The Tablet Press Set-Up is responsible for all assembly/disassembly, maintenance, and operation of various tablet press and compression machines. They are also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

 

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Monday through Friday)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Disassembles, cleans and assembles various tablet-press and compression machines
  • Maintains the working condition of various tablet-press and compression machines
  • Starts-up a production run following the completion of the set up process
  • Diagnoses issues that arise during a set-up
  • Keeps log books accurate with current information
  • Enters start up and in-process information into the batch record
  • Operates the tablet-press and compression machines based on the business demand
  • Handles material handling equipment like Palette Jacks and Manual Lifts
  • Responsible for adhering to SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements and procedures
  • Covers for Operators during breaks and/or absences
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
     

Experience: 

  • 2 years of prior mechanical or manufacturing machine operator experience
  • Previous manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience preferred
     

Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
     

Skills:

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic technical skills
  • Must be able to respond to and follow verbal/written instructions
  • Basic written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
