We are looking for a Category Production Planner to join the Demand and Supply Planning team. As a Category Production Planner, the main purpose of the job is to manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that takes into account the distribution costs.

IN A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CATEGORY PRODUCTION PLANNER, YOU’LL HAVE TO …
- Establishes an 18 month production plan for the factories within the scope of responsibility (including sub/contracting and/or co-manufacturing where relevant) ensuring continuous product availability in all Receiving locations
- Provides information on labour requirements through Committed Capacity
- Creates a feasible and optimal production plan that respects capacity defined (available capacity)
- Signalizes and effectively addreses all potentail capacity issues in proper advance
- Identifies possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 18 month horizon balancing flexibility and reliability
- Coordinates AVC Consolidation, volume Forecast Affiliates and is SPOC for Market Controlling
- Contribute to cross functional planning activities such as MPR according to Best Practice.
- Establish the supply plan and net despatch requirements to ensure Customer Service and satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints.
- Load planning: Plan and optimize mixed loads taking into account transportation constraints.
- Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location.
- Analyze exceptions, take business decisions within agreed Framework (based on priorities or after arbitration and prodcut allocation) and adjust planning results accordingly. Establish production requirements for short and long term and to follow up on production plans.
- Establish and periodically review stock policies for Finished Goods.
- Analyse and effectively communicate relevant information to respective Stakeholders. Highlighting all supply issues in proper advance. Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related tradeoffs. Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable In accordance with the Business Planning process.
- Exporting the goods: share the volume from the factory to the local market and the other markets in EUR
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
- Higher education in Management, Industrial Engineering and Management, Logistics, Data Science/Analytics or similar
- 3 years’ (at least) of relevant operations experience, in at least one of the following areas: Factories, Production, Foreign Trade, IMS Factory Logistics, Other Demand & Supply Planning positions, OIT (Operations Improvement Team)
- Exposure in Customer Service is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (mandatory)
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Tactical thinker
- Analytical ability and detail orientation
- Proactivity and quick learning.
