Position Summary

The Design Studio Creative Lead, will lead the Design Studio to support Design Excellence at Nestlé. Building on the strength of the global deployment of Design to Delivery (D2D), ensure the Design Studio delivers against our Global Design and D2D ambitions related to quality and standards, including abiding by D2D ways of working and tools. Specifically, job is to guide the efficient and effective support for Design best practice and global deployment – with priority on Guidelines Creation, Packaging and Visual Assets Adaptation and Operationalization. Partners with Global Design and Nestrade to continuously improve and evolve strategies for improving the Execution of Design, including piloting new ways of working for Global Brands. Manages Design Studio talent and deliverables, and applies Global quality standards for Design Asset outputs across the E2E of the Design Process.

A day in the life of...

  • Creation of best-in-class digital guidelines, applied to Global template and content direction provided by Brand Guardian teams or agencies.
  • Creative adaptive packaging design that closely follows brand guidance and achieves creative excellence while being fit for finalization by Artwork partners in Markets.
  • Partners with brands to create, evolve, and adapt design assets to be locally relevant and fit for use in packaging, print, and digital.
  • Ensures that all work product from the Design Studio adheres to D2D Global Ways of Working, including use of all digital tools.
  • Acts as key partner to Global Design Team and MSE IT to continuously enhance D2D workflows and tools.
  • Contributes to Global Color Management ambitions to reduce complexity while improving consistency and quality.
     

What will make you successful

  • 10+ years in packaging design creation and adaptation, with full understanding of E2E design process, and extensive experience managing adaptive and production design.
  • People management.
  • Experience with Global Brands is essential, and empathy for localization requirements while staying coherent with global brand objectives. In-depth understanding of managing the development of fit-for-purpose packaging assets and master files.
  • Expert understanding of design and artwork requirements for FMCG packaging (formats, substrates, and print processes) and color management.
  • Excellent collaborator, especially with virtual partners across time zones and cultures.
  • High level of proficiency with Adobe CC.
  • In-depth understanding of digital workflows, DAMs, and collaborative tools.
  • High standard of English (written and spoken).
  • Eye for detail and exceptional standards for reproduction fidelity.
