Position Summary

Reporting to the IMS Lead, the Design Studio D2D Lead will be responsible for building the optimal design operations team to bring designs to Markets that are efficient, accurate and meet Nestlé standards. Leads the teams managing Design to Delivery (D2D) processes and services, including Label Information, to deliver Artwork- or Digital-ready Masterfiles and design guidelines. Partners with the Design Studio Creative Lead to ensure efficient workflows between the creative and executional tasks, and responsible for the on-time and Right First Time delivery of design deliverables. Achieves results on time, on budget, and according to defined quality standards. Identifies synergies and efficiencies for Nestlé to bring packaging-based designs, digital adaptations, label information and related assets to market faster. Manages relationships and quality standards internally and with external partners when required.

A day in the life of...

• Manages D2D workflow for assigned brand(s) or business(es), interfacing with all functions/ individuals responsible for providing information or assets required for the D2D project success.
• Responsible for ensuring all parties involved in design and artwork production have the required inputs to deliver accurate files, on time.
• Manages the day-to-day relationship with in-house and/or external adaptation, artwork and pre-press partners – ensuring two-way communication on all expected deliverables and timings.
• Responsible for briefing artwork and pre-press partners on the timings agreed and provides the required technical printing and supply chain details required for artwork/pre-press briefs.
• Supports the digital archiving of packaging and design assets through ultimate responsibility for ensuring final artwork and digital assets are made available via Nestlé Content Hub.
• Ensures teams developing/delivering branded packaging, POSM, and associated eCommerce deliverables have access to the required information, timelines, label text and assets in order to achieve results on time, on budget, and according to defined quality standards.
• Functional expert supporting the content hub for the on-time and accurate management of packaging design/adaptation projects.
• Is responsible for ensuring Nestlé proprietary colours are reproduced with absolute accuracy regardless of materials through final sign-off of colour prints or targets.
• Is responsible for the delivery of all required files to the artwork and pre-press partners and printers so packs can be printed and delivered to the factories on time for the assigned brands/products.
• Exhibits expertise and interest in excellence and innovation in print execution and digitalization of packaging-related data, supporting marketing in making appropriate current and future choices to ensure the best ultimate execution.
• Manages usage rights (photography, illustration, typography).

What will make you successful

5+ years experience in project management, design or consumer marketing at Nestlé with training or deep experience in print production for packaging, or
4+ years design/prepress agency experience in account management and/or project management (ideally experience in both).
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging with agencies, and deep experience managing packaging artwork projects from brief development through to print execution.
