POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Nespresso story began with a simple but revolutionary idea: enable anyone to create the perfect cup of espresso coffee. Since 1986, Nespresso has redefined and revolutionized the way millions of people enjoy their espresso coffee. We are currently looking for a full time Global Supply Chain Program Engineer to lead and coordinate the various activities involved in its execution. The SC project aim to improve end-to-end service levels, reduce costs, ensure compliance with logistics operations, and support growth and innovation aligned with the Customer strategy. Your tasks will include planning project activities, tracking progress, managing documents and stakeholders, and improving current methods while creating new ones for innovative business models.

 

You will need project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with different functions within the organization.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN PROGRAME ENGINEER INCLUDES…
 

  • Oversee groups of projects that are linked through a common organizational goal—collectively called a program;
  • Be in charge of ensuring that multiple connected projects are carried out effectively and work to make sure the program is aligned with the organization’s larger strategy;
  • Work with project managers to plan project schedules, budgets, and goals;
  • Work with CAPEX management needs;
  • Collaborate with executive management to help achieve an organization’s goals and come up with new tactical implementations;
  • Facilitate communication across different projects and cross-functional teams;
  • Know how to manage risk and opportunities, balance budgets, and implement project management tools, in addition to having leadership qualities and good communication skills;
  • Familiarity with supply chain E2E business operations, in addition to project management skills;
  • Train and coach other project managers;

 

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL…

 

  • University or Engineering degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics;
  • Experience of at least  5-8 years of professional experience in logistics and distribution operations or continuous improvement project manager in an International environment and direct to consumer business model (logistics, distribution,);
  • Experience in managing the start-up phases of capital investment projects at manufacturing sites or similar project delivery activities, particularly in logistics and distribution operations, including automation;
  • Management experience in project delivery activities or Logistics and Distribution Operations;
  • Successfully led projects and initiatives (complex ones);
  • Worked/ been exposed to collaborative business development projects in logistics and distribution;
  • Been using systems for logistics and distribution processes and decision support;
  • Successfully managed relationship with external providers for warehousing, equipment and transport;
