Position Summary
As Water Resource & Operational Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Nestlé’s water resources across manufacturing operations worldwide. Acting as a global subject matter expert, you will drive water risk assessment, mitigation strategies and governance, ensuring sustainable water availability today and in the future.
You will contribute to enterprise-level decision-making by translating complex technical insights into actionable recommendations, while fostering a strong culture of water stewardship and compliance across markets, zones and business units.
A Day in the Life…
- Lead Water Resource Reviews (WRR) within Nestlé Internal Audits (NiA) across selected manufacturing sites
- Assess compliance with internal standards and local/international regulations related to water
- Identify, evaluate and monitor operational and reputational water resource risks across sites
- Consolidate data into centralized dashboards to support risk visibility and reporting readiness
- Deliver audit reports and governance-level recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Supervise water sustainability due diligence for CAPEX projects (greenfield, M&A, capacity expansions)
- Support development of technical standards, tools, and training materials for global deployment
- Build internal capabilities through trainings on water resource management and hydrogeology topics
- Promote water stewardship initiatives and collective action at watershed level
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners including consultants, authorities and academia
What Will Make You Successful
- Master’s or PhD in Hydrogeology
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operational water resource management
- Strong expertise in hydrogeology and industrial water resource management
- Proven ability to operate at enterprise level, influencing without direct authority
- Experience translating technical risks into strategic insights for senior decision-making
- Solid understanding of water quality, treatment and regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication and facilitation skills (reports, trainings, stakeholder engagement)
- Ability to work in complex, multicultural and cross-functional environments
- Passion for sustainability and water stewardship
