Job Summary: The Packaging Materials Executive will be responsible for providing consumer centric, cost competitive and sustainable packaging solutions for business units and for ensuring effective and efficient packaging operations. This role requires a strong technical background in packaging technology and a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in packaging operations. The Packaging Materials Executive will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective execution of packaging activities.
   
Key Responsibilities:
   
1. Drive and support business unit by delivering packaging solutions that are responsive to the needs of the consumers, customers and in accordance with Nestle's global standards and local regulations.
2. Develop and implement packaging strategies, protocols and procedures to optimize packaging processes and operations.
3. Maintain expertise on packaging technology in the business and operations, provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. 
4. Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations and marketing to ensure seamless integration of packaging activities with other manufacturing and business processes.
5. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of high-quality packaging materials and equipment at competitive prices.
6. Monitor and analyze packaging performance metrics on packaging development, operations, sustainability and implement preventive and corrective actions as necessary.
7. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance of packaging materials, processes and operations with Nestle's quality, safety, and environmental standards.
8. Identify and evaluate new packaging technologies, materials, and equipment to drive innovation and improve packaging efficiency.
9. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in packaging technology, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance packaging operations.
10. Foster a culture of continuous packaging improvement and innovation, encouraging internal and external stakeholder engagement and participation in improvement initiatives.
   
Qualifications and Requirements:
   
1. Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a packaging management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
3. Strong technical knowledge of packaging technology, materials, and equipment.
4. Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
7. Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and HACCP.
8. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to packaging, such as FDA regulations and environmental sustainability standards.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
10. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
