Position Summary: As an Associate Production Manager, you'll ensure the production plan and all functional operations are fully achieved on time and in compliance during off shifts. You'll manage teams across all areas of plant operations, focusing on employee safety, product quality, hygiene, cost, and environmental needs. Your role involves driving continuous improvement through TPM, empowering and developing people, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You'll create a workplace culture that engages and motivates associates at all levels.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure processes run in accordance with SOPs and other documentation.
  • Ensure finished products meet quality, safety, and good manufacturing practices, delivered on time.
  • Manage the SHO, ensuring information exchange aligns with short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Develop and execute a workforce development program to achieve the production plan.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to individuals and teams to develop their full potential.
  • Promote positive labor management relationships and continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of installations and timely launch of new products.

 

Leadership Responsibilities:

You'll supervise Production Supervisors and hourly production employees, ensuring effective staff management and team deployment.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Food Science, or Organizational Leadership/Supervision preferred.
  • Ability to work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts as needed.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of food industry production, purchasing, and/or packaging experience with progressive responsibility leading people. Experience in different manufacturing environments and success leading projects in various departments and functions. TPM implementation experience preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, high energy level, and excellent follow-up skills. Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Great people skills, maintaining a positive attitude, and the ability to motivate people are essential.
