Position Overview

As an Industrial Boiler - HVAC/R Technician, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC, and utility systems. You will also play a crucial role in our Process Safety Management program and be a key member of our Emergency Response and HAZWOPER teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair large HVAC/R equipment, including:

  • Ammonia Refrigeration
  • Drive-in coolers/freezers
  • Glycol chillers and boilers
  • Steam boilers and chemistry control
  • Water systems (Reverse Osmosis, softeners, filters)
  • Compressed air systems
  • Hydraulics systems
  • Make air units

Maintain detailed equipment logs and reports using computerized maintenance systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience or education in HVAC/R or a related field preferred.
  • RETA-CARO certification preferred (Company will support certification within the first year).
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work from heights.
  • Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong writing skills for routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for group interactions.
  • Commitment to plant rules, safety, and good housekeeping practices.

  • Team-oriented mindset.
