Position Summary
We are looking for a Finance Associate to join our finance teams. Positions will be based out of either of these locations our Head Office in North York, our Factory in downtown Toronto or London, Ontario, or our Sales and Distribution Center in Brampton. This role is a 3-year rotational program where you will be responsible for core Finance functions through various rotations in both our factory and office settings. You will gain experience in the Nestlé Finance core functions, build your business acumen, leadership capabilities, support your development and long-term success at Nestlé.
A day in the life of...
As a Finance Associate, you will be exposed to core business process and systems to gain an understanding of the integrated nature of the Nestlé business cycle. Here at Nestlé we believe through rotations of the following teams allows future leaders have a better understanding of the entire Financial process:
Factory Finance:
• Understand the manufacturing processes and how finance plays a key role in cost management
• Learn the Nestle Costing Standard for Manufacturing and gain a deep understanding of the manufacturing conversion process
Operations Finance:
• Provide analysis and guidance on Procurement & Distribution Cost, to category finance, operations, purchasing and logistics
• Interact with cross functional groups, create budget models, develop “what if” scenarios, identify cost savings opportunities, prepare and interpret monthly P&L cost analyses and make presentations
Corporate Finance:
• Work collaboratively with above market share service organizations
• Understand how Nestle Canada Financials are reported to our Headquarters in Switzerland
Sales Finance:
• Gain exposure to trade management from both a top-level and lower level perspective
• Learn how funds are managed, tracked, evaluated and established
Planning & Insights:
• Create budgets, work on costing of new product introductions, prepare and analyze all areas of the P&L
• Analyze actual results vs forecast (DF) and prior year, complete ad-hoc financial requests and support the team on the modern finance journey

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organization so you will need to drive innovation with new or unique solutions and inspire people around you while being proactive. You can already see the story behind the numbers and will have the opportunity to act like an owner by creating value for our brands and customers. You are highly organized individual who isn’t afraid to ask questions, be continuously curious and inquisitive.
You will also:
• Undergraduate degree in Business with a concentration in at least one of the related disciplines: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline.
• Past internship/Co-op experience in a CPG industry is a plus.
• Maintaining a GPA of a minimum 3.0 and above is considered an asset.
• Have strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and results focused.
• Agile, innovative, and intellectually curious.
• Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.
• Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset.
