What to Expect:

 

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a crew of skilled trades professionals to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

 

This role combines maintenance leadership, equipment reliability, workforce development, safety quality, and persistent improvement. You will engage with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and external partners to improve plant performance, support digital manufacturing initiatives, and drive future-ready maintenance practices.

 

The role is primarily assigned to the late shift and may require flexibility to support alternate shifts and weekend operations as required. This position is an existing vacancy.

 

A day in the life:

 

    • Lead and coach a team of Millwrights and Electricians to achieve safety, quality, reliability, and performance targets.
    • Coordinate maintenance activities and resource allocation to ensure operational priorities are achieved.
    • Supervise maintenance critical metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and asset uptime to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Fix equipment issues and lead investigations into underlying problems to prevent recurring failures.
    • Ensure observance of Nestlé safety standards including LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, working at heights, and contractor management requirements.
    • Apply SAP PM and other maintenance management systems to support planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to implement reliability, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Lead contractor activities while ensuring compliance with Nestlé safety, quality, and maintenance standards.
    • Support capital project execution, commissioning activities, and operational readiness requirements.
    • Develop a positive team environment through guidance, workforce advancement, performance management, and ongoing communication.

 

Role Requirements

 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience, Engineering Technologist diploma, Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Industrial Electrician certification, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of dynamic leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in a unionized environment.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause analysis (RCA), TPM methodologies, and asset management principles.
  • Experience applying crucial maintenance measurement metrics and data analytics to drive performance improvements.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, employee development, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven understanding of industrial safety programs and safe work practices.
  • Proficiency with SAP PM, CMMS systems, and Microsoft Excel is highly desired.
  • Ability to lead optimally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work night shift and provide flexibility for weekend support when required.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing systems including PLCs, robotics, machine vision systems, VFDs, AGVs/AMRs, and industrial controls.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Advance in Microsoft Excel, and digital work management systems.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation considered an asset.
  • Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $100,000 + bonus eligibility
