Nestlé Angola is currently looking for an Engineering Assistant who will provide crucial support to the engineering management team across various functions, including engineering management, maintenance, facility management, and technical store operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineering Management Support:

  • Assisting in the coordination and execution of Engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Maintaining project documentation, including schedules, reports and status updates.
  • Facilitating communication among engineering teams and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals.

Maintenance Support:

  • Helping to schedule and tracking maintenance activities for machinery and equipment.
  • Assisting in diagnosing equipment issues and coordinating repair efforts with maintenance personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Facility Management:

  • Supporting facility management efforts, including space planning and facility upgrades.
  • Monitoring facility conditions and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the management team.
  • Assisting in coordinating vendor services for facility maintenance and repairs.

Technical Store Operation Support:

  • Assisting in the management of technical store inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials and supplies.
  • Helping to maintain accurate inventory records and assisting in stock audits.
  • Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of necessary tools and materials. 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • Ability to showcase excellent knowledge in the use of SAP
  • Ability to demonstrate manufacturing skills
  • Ability to exhibit computer literacy
  • Ability to exhibit understanding of factory organization and accountabilities and responsibilities
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of HR procedures and practices and their application E.G grievance and disciplinary procedures, internal vacancy procedures, basic employment law, collective agreement, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of the critical products processes and materials on the area under responsibility
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced understanding of when action must be taken to minimize risks to people, products and equipment.
  •  Ability to communicate in English & Portuguese Languages
  • Ability to showcase Microsoft Office applications skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
