Product & Process Technologist

Nestlé Ukraine, part of the world's leading food and beverage company, is looking for an experienced Product & Process Technologist to join the Svitoch confectionery factory in Lviv and contribute to the development and optimization of our confectionery products and processes.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead product and process development projects from concept to industrial implementation.
  • Develop and optimize recipes, product specifications, and manufacturing parameters for confectionery and coffee products.
  • Coordinate product launches by working closely with R&D, Quality, Production, Engineering, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and conduct laboratory trials, pilot tests, and industrial production trials.
  • Support the introduction of new raw materials and packaging solutions into production.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance and process parameters after launch to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality enhancement, process optimization, and waste reduction.
  • Contribute to cost optimization projects and identify efficiency opportunities within product and process development activities.
  • Manage product shelf-life assessment activities and support product compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate and validate alternative raw material suppliers to ensure technological suitability and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain product documentation, technical specifications, and relevant system records.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, environmental, health, and safety standards throughout all development and implementation activities.

 

Main requirements:

  • Higher education in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Technologist, Product Developer, Process Technologist, or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and product development principles.
  • Experience in conducting production trials and implementing new products or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of quality and food safety requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • English level – Intermediate and higher.
  • Confident user of MS Office applications.
