Main Job Purpose:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for leading, governing, and improving the maintenance planning process at the site. This role is responsible for the establishment of routine and extraordinary maintenance plans for all site assets, while ensuring that maintenance activities are executed as per plan, on time, and in full. The primary objective is to maintain healthy assets, enabling safe operations, food safety, quality, compliance, and high-performance levels. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner optimizes maintenance plans, integrates Maintenance Excellence Packages for the Category, leverages Digital and ensures competitive end-to-end life cycle costs. A key responsibility includes ensuring that assets are maintained to a modern state, incorporating the latest technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintenance Planner is the custodian of the Maintenance Planning & Scheduling routines in the given site.

- Establish Routine and Extraordinary Maintenance plan:
Develop comprehensive maintenance plans to all assets at the site to ensure assets are healthy and reliable while minimizing downtime. Ensure that routine and extraordinary maintenance activities are scheduled and executed as per plan. Ensures OEMs Maintenance plans are integrated into AMM Maintenance plan. Collaborate with cross-functional team to align on maintenance plans with the overall business objectives.
- Lead and Govern Maintenance Planning Process:
Establish and govern the maintenance planning standard routine including tasks prioritization, maintenance shutdowns scheduling in collaboration with production and work orders execution results review to drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate the planning to ensure third-party maintenance service providers are available, execute tasks on time, and as per specification. Additionally, coordinate with the technical store team for efficient kitting processes.
- Ensure Timely and Accurate Execution of Maintenance Activities:
Monitor and track the execution of maintenance activities to ensure adherence to the established plans. Collaborate with maintenance teams to address any deviations or delays promptly. Implement measures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance execution.
Ensures compliance with AMM standards and regulatory requirements, as well as adherence to maintenance plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in Maintenance:
Regularly review maintenance routines with the maintenance team and optimize maintenance plans in AMM (Asset & Maintenance Management) to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the maintenance planning system.
- Integration of Maintenance Excellence Packages:
Coordinate & facilitate the deployment of Maintenance excellence packages (MEP) within the site asset base and establish governance to confirm the overall assets performance and maintenance cost is aligned with MEPs expected benefits. Share learnings and improvement proposals with the MEPs owners.
Liaise with the Category network to share & replicate learnings.
- Leverage Digital to optimize Maintenance:
Develop a comprehensive plan to integrate digital solutions for maintenance, with the goal of enhancing asset reliability and optimizing maintenance routines and organization. This plan will encompass various initiatives, including the integration of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) into the Asset & Maintenance Management (AMM) system, real-time reporting of technical parameters and abnormal conditions, the adoption of AMM Mobile for improved accessibility and efficiency, and any other relevant digital solutions that can contribute to the overall effectiveness of the maintenance program.
- Cost optimization:
Analyze and optimize life cycle costs of maintenance activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining asset health and performance. Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to effectively manage maintenance budgets, including routine and extraordinary maintenance, as well as parts inventories.
-Support preparation for the start-upo of new lines:
Coordinate the preparation and implementation of maintenance plans for CAPEX and new lines, ensuring the availability of adequate resources (labor, parts, third parties, budgets) and establishing routines from the start of the new assets.
Critical Experiences
What experiences are key to success in this job?
Experience in a maintenance area, preferably in Plant Operations & Maintenance (2-3 years)
Experience working in Asset Maintenance Management (min 2 years)
Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance, and asset management.
Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) and other relevant software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputed College/University
