Position Summary:
You will manage R&D projects through I2L process on water, flavoured and functional products to ensure business priorities and market needs for successful launches and to build knowledge for supporting future growth opportunities. You will drive the development, innovation and renovation of products/processes/systems to deliver innovative and competitive products/processes/systems in response to business needs.
You will report to the Product Development & Sensory Lead.
Your typical day:
- Innovation/renovation: develop water-based beverages and manage product development activities of innovation/renovation projects for our business. Support markets to properly roll-out the projects. Ensure flavors development and manage project on flavors and flavoring preparations in collaboration with our flavors production site in Madone (Italy). Support our Science & Technology programs for future growth opportunities. Promote innovation and proactively propose new ideas, new raw materials, processes, tests, products. Present/publish important project results to R&D, business and markets.
- Project Management: manage project activities including documentation and deliver products/processes/systems solutions with defined quality at defined time and cost (when applicable) according to all relevant Nestlé standards and rules. Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by considering the whole picture and the context of this project and future projects. Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists with the I2L Project Manager.
- Technical Assistance: provide accurate operational/technical/scientific support to markets in expertise areas covered by the team (ingredients, flavors, product and process, sensory etc). Assist in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches (technical/product improvements).
- People and Know-How: ensure a good and reactive network within the Nestlé R&D community, develop a network with external partners (universities, scientific community, suppliers). Manage the missions/activities in alignment with NIMS (Food Safety, Quality & SHE) and a continuous improvement mindset.
