Position Snapshot
•    Location: Central category technical application group Hub based in Madone (Bergamo) 
•    Permanent contract 
•    At least 5 years of experience in R&D activities or product development in Food & Beverage industry 
•    Fluent in Italian and English, French is beneficial
•    Project management skills

 

Position Summary
In this role you will work in the European Category Technical Application Group (C-TAG) team that has the responsibility to manage projects in product development at lab scale and their application at industrial scale, analysis and validation of new raw materials, within an international scope across Europe. You will also provide expert support during industrialization and perform regional recipe and material specification management activities. 

 

A day in the life…

  • Defines and details raw material specifications and purchasing specifications
  • Ensures the continuous updating of raw material specifications
  • Reviews raw material specifications and updates recipes if required
  • Leads raw material substitution and cost optimization projects
  • Leads the review, analysis and deployment of new and alternative raw materials
  • Leads the industrialization of internally produced semi-finished goods
  • Develops, customizes and localizes recipes on lab scale
  • Leads Renovation and Innovation projects, and identifies optimization opportunities
  • Leads the deployment of new products aligned with Zone priorities 
  • Provides technical expertise and regional business insight to project team
  • Ensures deployment of standards to factories according to plan in collaboration with local teams
  • Performs product and process competency building for manufacturing support teams and factory experts
     

What will make you successful
•    At least 5 years of experience in R&D activities or product development in Food & Beverage industry 
•    Fluent in Italian and English, French is beneficial
•    Strong project management and relational, and coaching skills
•    Ability to work cross-functionally on multi-stakeholder projects
•    Ability to identify, understand, present, and mitigate risk
•    Good understanding of industrial environment and its’ challenges 
•    Passion for quality and consumer satisfaction
•    Ability to deliver results and make challenges to manage projects 
•    Availability to travel within the country and internationally (Europe) to visit factories
