Position Summary

In this role, you will join the European Category Technical Application Group (C-TAG), responsible for managing product development projects from lab scale to industrial application.

You will contribute to the analysis and validation of new raw materials across an international European scope.

You will also provide expert support during industrialization and perform regional recipe and material specification management activities. 

 

A day in the life of a Product Development & Quality Specialist

  • Define and maintain raw material and purchasing specifications 
  • Ensure continuous update and accuracy of raw material specifications
  • Review specifications and adapt recipes when needed
  • Drive raw material substitution and cost optimization projects
  • Lead the review, analysis and deployment of new and alternative raw materials
  • Lead the industrialization of internally produced semi-finished products
  • Develop, customize and localize recipes on lab scale
  • Lead Renovation and Innovation projects, identifying optimization opportunities
  • Manage the deployment of new products in alignment with Zone priorities 
  • Provide technical expertise and regional business insight to cross-functional teams
  • Ensure effective deployment of standards across factories in collaboration with local teams  
  • Deliver training and build capabilities within manufacturing support teams and factory experts
     

What will make you successful?

  • 3-5 years of experience in R&D or product development in the Food & Beverage industry
  • Fluent in both Italian and English; French is a plus
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and coaching skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally on multi-stakeholder projects
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
  • Good understanding of industrial processes and related challenges
  • Strong quality mindset and passion for consumer satisfaction
  • Results-oriented with the ability to effectively manage complex projects and challenges
  • Availability to travel across Italy and internationally (Europe) to visit factories
